Our Research Framework
Analyzing Digital Retail Dynamics
I have chosen Amazon as the firm I will be analyzing for my final thesis. I selected Amazon since it is one of the biggest and most famous corporations in the world, and it provides millions of users with a broad selection of goods and services. From a consumer behavior viewpoint I also believe Amazon is noteworthy since consumers typically utilize the firm for convenience, rapid delivery, competitive pricing, entertainment and other perks.
I choose Amazon Prime as the particular category to work with in Amazon. With Amazon Prime, a subscription service, customers may enjoy perks such as quick delivery, Prime Video, special offers and more. I chose this category because there are many different factors that can influence a consumer’s decision to buy or continue paying for a Prime membership. Convenience, pricing, perceived value, purchasing habits and consumer loyalty are among these considerations.
For my consumer behavior study, I aim to employ three key resources. First I will research Amazon Prime further, using the official website and information from the firm, perks and how the company offers the program to users. Secondly, I will study Amazon’s annual reports and investor information to better understand the company’s performance, strategy and consumer patterns. Finally, I will review consumer buying behavior, online purchase decision making and views about subscription services, based on publications and studies from respected marketing and business sources.
These tools will help me better understand why people pick Amazon Prime and what variables impact their choices to purchase and to join. I believe Amazon Prime is a great illustration of how convenience, value, technology and brand loyalty can affect customer behavior.
